What’s the difference between XCT & Brain Octane?
Brain Octane uses only the most ketogenic part of coconut oil, and as it is so pure most people can use more of it. XCT is great, cost effective alternative to Brain Octane. We recommend both Brain Octane & XCT Oil over other MCT oils as neither contain (C12) Lauric Acid, the cheapest and most abundant MCT in coconut oil that is metabolized differently and produces fewer ketones.

Does Brain Octane need to be refrigerated?
No refrigeration is required. Brain Octane is liquid at room temperature.

What are the packets made of:
XCT Oil and Brain Octane are packaged in fully recyclable, BPA-free plastic packets. These packets do not release any chemicals into the oil and the oil is only touching other oil molecules as a single molecule of oil bonds to the inner wall of the packet.

Start by using one teaspoon at a time and increase slowly over several days to one or more full servings (1 tablespoon) daily. Too much Brain Octane, especially on an empty stomach, can result in disaster pants (gastric upset). Brain Octane can be consumed anytime of the day. How to make Bulletproof Coffee:

  1. Start with 8 fl oz of filtered water, fresh off the boil.
  2. Add 2 1/2 tablespoons freshly ground Bulletproof Upgraded Coffee Beans and brew using your favorite method.
  3. If you’re new to Bulletproof Coffee, add 1 tsp Bulletproof Brain Octane to 8 oz of hot coffee. Gradually increase the amount each day as desired to reach 1-2 tbsp per cup.
  4. Add 1-2 tbsp grass-fed, unsalted butter.
